Preschool Literacy and Art
Family Fun
Family Preschool Event
Trish Delagardelle is leading family art/literacy sessions at all of the Monroe County Head Start programs and all of the Monroe County Preschools during February, March, and April. Trish reads a story to the children, and then introduces a related art project. Parents are encouraged to join in on the fun.
One parent told us:
“It was such a joy to watch the children dive into their artwork with excitement and confidence.
The presenter, Ms. Delagardelle, did an exceptional job leading the lesson. Her energy was engaging, her instructions were easy for young learners to follow, and she encouraged creativity while still providing helpful guidance. She had a natural way of connecting with the children that kept them attentive and eager to create.
Events like this are so valuable for building community and giving families meaningful opportunities to learn and have fun together. We are incredibly grateful to MACA for investing in our youngest learners and hope this is just one of many events to come.”
