For more than a century, the streets of downtown Madisonville have been used for trading. Whether
Historic photographs dating back to the early 1900's show downtown filled with people, trading mules! Times have changed, but people are still gathering in the county seat to buy, sell, trade, do business and, just as importantly, visit with one another.
Madisonville Trade Days puts a new twist on that old tradition.
On select Saturdays, we're bringing the spirit of those early gathering days back to downtown (minus the mules). Tellico Street becomes a community marketplace where just about anyone can set up, sell, shop and treasure hunt.
Think old-fashioned trade day meets community yard sale and flea market.
You'll find yard-sale treasures, antiques, vintage items, collectibles, furniture, tools, clothing, household goods, handmade items and plenty of unexpected finds.
Want to sell?
You don't have to own a business or be a professional vendor. Clean out the garage, attic or storage building, gather up the things you've been meaning to sell and reserve a $10 booth space. Signing up is easy: just choose your date and fill out the form below.
Want to shop?
Come early and hunt for a bargain! Every Trade Day is different, and you never know what someone is going to bring.
Or just come downtown to visit, because more than 100 years later, gathering together is still part of the tradition.
Certain items are prohibited. Please see the vendor application for complete rules and details.
