Because you’re a member of the Downtown Madisonville Alliance, we want you to be among the first to hear about the exciting progress happening at Old City Hall.

As you know, the City of Madisonville owns the building.  Recently, it was approved to allow the Downtown Madisonville Alliance lease, and manage the property as a potential business incubator, food and Visitor Center site to help improve the downtown area.

Over the past two years, meaningful investment has been made to move this vision forward.

Through ARPA funding, the City invested over $400,000 into critical structural upgrades, including new windows, floor stabilization, new doors, and a brand new public exterior restroom. These improvements laid the groundwork for bringing the building back to life.

The DMA has also secured grant money and donations and made investments to enhance the space, including:

  • $30,000 in furnishings through an RBDG grant

  • Approximately $18,000 in new flooring throughout the building

  • New exterior door and window canopies through the Downtown Improvement Grant

Every improvement brings us closer to opening a space that will serve as both a welcoming visitors center and a launchpad for entrepreneurs in downtown Madisonville.

Our next phase includes interior walls, necessary electrical upgrades, plumbing improvements, and a bathroom renovation to ensure the building can fully support public use and small business incubation.

This project represents exactly why the Downtown Madisonville Alliance exists. Your membership makes it possible for us to pursue grants, leverage partnerships and donations and continue improving the heart of our community.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as progress moves forward, and as always, thank you for being part of the work happening in downtown Madisonville.
