DMA Announces Subrecipients of TN ECD Downtown Improvement Grant Funds

New Downtown Improvements Coming Soon

Madisonville, TN - The Downtown Madisonville Alliance is thrilled to announce that 14 downtown business and property owners have been named subrecipients of the $300,000 Tennessee Economic and Community Development (TN ECD) Downtown Improvement grant funds awarded to the Alliance. This exciting development marks a significant milestone in the revitalization efforts of Downtown Madisonville.

The TN ECD Downtown Improvement grant aims to enhance and beautify downtown areas, fostering economic growth and creating a more vibrant community atmosphere. With the support of these grant funds, the Alliance will spearhead a transformative initiative to revitalize the downtown area, making it more attractive and welcoming to residents and visitors alike.

Subrecipients were chosen by the DMA Design Committee through an application and scoring process taking into account project need and community impact. Each of the 14 subrecipients will receive funding to undertake exterior façade improvement projects on their properties. In addition to the grant funds, subrecipients will be required to contribute a 25% match, demonstrating their commitment to the revitalization efforts.

"These grant funds will bring significant improvements to our downtown area, creating a more vibrant and attractive destination for community members and visitors. Through initiatives like the TN ECD Downtown Improvement grant, the Alliance continues to drive positive change and create lasting impact in the community.
