Downtown Wins - April, 2026
Fundraising Efforts
The progress you’re seeing downtown is made possible through fundraising efforts, grants, partnerships, and community support. Events like Carnival in the Park help generate the funds that go right back into downtown projects, events, and improvements. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, supporting these efforts is one of the most direct ways to make an impact.

A Sweet New Addition
Bradley’s Sweet Side is opening this month at the Old City Hall property beside Memorial Park. This locally loved business is opening a second location in downtown, bringing a fun and convenient new option for residents and visitors alike. They should be open just before the Farmer's Market begins, so follow their page on social media for updates! Special thanks to the City of Madisonville government for leasing this space to the DMA to use as a business incubator space.
The Farmer's Market Is Opening This Month
The Madisonville Farmers & Makers Market is kicking off its new season on May 21st. Every Thursday from 5-8pm downtown will come alive, bringing together local growers, makers, food trucks, and live entertainment. Each week adds new energy to downtown and creates a space for the community to gather and connect.
Special thanks to Safepath & Monroe Area Council for the Arts for their sponsorship of live music each week.
Community Work
Our Community Love Mural, created by students at Madisonville Primary School, will be unveiled on May 12 at Houston Park. This project is a true reflection of community pride, creativity, and collaboration.
Special thanks to JTEKT for sponsoring this project.
Committee Work
A special thank you to our Downtown Madisonville Alliance Design Committee for their hard work this month planning and coordinating the annual Downtown Cleanup Day! Special shoutout to Keep Monroe County Beautiful for sponsoring our plants this year through grant funds.
